C for more Confidence and Clients

For most new start-ups this involves networking and the dreaded '40 second' intro over a breakfast or lunch event. Didn't our mother's tell us not to speak with our mouths full!

I guess that sounds familiar to most new business owners.
I am fortunate that I have enough confidence to cope with a small audience in an informal setting but it must be awful if you aren't.

I was very lucky that my first event was The International Women's Day at Bowood in Wiltshire.  I met some amazing woman and heard some very interesting talks.

Over the next few months I tried Referral Link in Hilmarton, Swindon Women's Network in Royal Wootton Bassett and Ladies Who Latte in Marlborough.

They have all be very helpful and special in their own way. I met the amazing Robin Waite and Darren Clark at the Swindon group and so many inspirational women elsewhere.

I am just starting out with the 4N Networking in Chippenham and am hoping to form some good friendships.

What is all this for?
Getting to know people, gaining leads and ultimately clients but also I come away inspired to keep going.

Clients are coming now and I continue to learn so much from the different business owners and individuals I meet.

I still have moments of self doubt but it seems this comes with the territory as a new business woman but I will not give up on my dream!

How do you cope with lack of confidence?
Have you improved at time has gone by?
